When Did We Get The Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty Arrived to the New York City harbor on June 19th, 1885 and was a gift from the French people. Today it is considered by many to be a symbol of Freedom, Liberty and the American Dream. The Statue stands tall on Liberty Island, formerly known as Bedloe’s Island which was formerly an oyster harvesting area that the dutch frequently utilized.
