Ellis Island Records

Ellis Island has quite an amazing history as being famously known as an intricate part of the immigration process in New York City harbor. The first immigrants to arrive on the shores of Ellis Island, arrived in a ship named the S.S. Nevada that originally departed from Ireland. The first immigrant to step foot on Ellis Island was 15 year old Annie Moore for which we was awarded a gold coin to commemorate the experience.

What we have in our digital collection is the 1st official immigration document detailing the arrival of Annie Moore and others from the S.S. Nevada.
