Today I’m delighted to share with you some of our New York City Navy Yard historical photographs that we have in our collection. The photographs displayed below range in terms of publication date, subject matter, perspective and much more. For instance some of the photographs were taken in the 1940’s by the United States Department of Defense, while others were taken by New York City residents. Also some of photographs focus more specifically on the ships that were docked, while other photographs actually look at the geography of the naval yard. Take a few minutes and browse some of the wonderful photographs we have our New York Navy Yard in Brooklyn NY collection.
